About Nasty Plot!
What's Nasty Plot! all about, you ask? Well, it's pretty simple, really. It's a Pokémon strategy database, presented in blog form for your (more mine, really) convenience. It's not intended to replace, rival, or otherwise compete with Smogon in any way; in fact, I highly suggest you explore it if you're serious about battling. Here you will find a more specialised tone of voice when it comes to the Pokémon I review. Supplemental guidance, if you will. Perhaps you'll learn something new, or see a certain Pokémon in a different light you hadn't considered before. I'll also give case-by-case scenarios where applicable to help better prepare you for anything.
Also, for those of you who aren't into competitive battling, I'll still provide a significant amount of insight to in-game usage, both pre- and post-Elite Four. You'll learn the best movesets available to Pokémon without having to resort to TMs or waste Heart Scales, and you'll learn intuitive strategies you may have never considered before to contend with the unique, fast-paced matches in the Battle Frontier.
Basically, I have everybody in mind when I write for Nasty Plot! Additionally, I'll be using it to keep track of my HeartGold Version progress when that comes out, so you can get a more hands-on approach to my play style.

Uh... so you want to know about me? Well, okay;
I'm an 18-year-old girl with the heart of an 8-year-old (and probably the mind of one, too). I'm attending my second year of college at Midlands Tech in South Carolina, and should be transferring elsewhere this fall. Excited about that, yes I am. A little nervous, too.
I got into Pokémon a bit later than most other people my age, not until I was 10. Still, it's kinda hard to believe it's been eight years since I first picked up Pokémon Yellow, which I got for $5 from someone in the hotel I was staying at in Germany. I've been a huge fan of the series ever since, getting Crystal that December and so forth. Nowadays, I enjoy the more technical aspects of the game, studying how it works and taking part in competitive battles. Yes, I still play the cartridge games; I'm currently working on a Platinum and an Emerald file, and I'm looking forward to HeartGold when it comes out, too. I'm also shooting for 100% completion in Stadium 2, which I am almost there.
My interests outside Pokémon include relatively old-school gaming in general (particularly RPGs), playing the flute, reading (Shakespeare is a favourite), writing (though I'm not particularly good at it), and most importantly, cuddling. Something I get asked a lot is "Are you a furry?" Simply put, yeah, I am. My Pokésona is a Ninetales, though it used to be a Mudkip (now retired). That said, if you're looking for a new friend, I'm more than willing to say "Hi!" to anyone genuinely interested. If you're just looking for someone to yiff with, I'm afraid you'll have to try elsewhere.
